Strategic Counsel
Maureen Payne, APR,
FCPRS
has spent the majority of her career in Alberta working on
public sector and major industrial issues. Viewed as a leader in her field, she
has directed internal communication organizations as well as two successful
consulting practices. Her interests are in strategy, government and stakeholder
engagement and policy change. She is active in the community and is a Fellow of
the Canadian Public Relations Society.
Laurel Nichol, Hon. BJ,
is a senior communications professional with years of
progressive experience in her areas of interest, which include public
consultation, strategic planning, issue management, stakeholder relations, and
media relations. She has held leadership positions at two major consulting
firms and an integrated energy company. Laurel has an Honours Bachelor of
Journalism Degree and a Master of Music Degree and is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Joanne O'Connell, BSc/BA, MA, CMRP
is an accomplished social and market research consultant whose career focus
has revolved around communications in advertising, public relations, government
and stakeholder relations. Her employment platforms have included two
communications agencies, a national Canadian research firm and successful
self-employment. Joanne excels in the essential professional skill of quickly
capturing the foundational needs of the research topic so that the appropriate
details are captured and aligned. She holds the CMRP, or Certified Marketing
Research Professional certification, based on experience and demonstrated
competence in both quantitative and qualitative practice.
Associates
MPA addresses complex public affairs issues and works with a variety of expert
